Business Startup Program
The start up program gives our aspiring youth entrepreneurs the fundamentals of starting a business. It exposes them to opportunities that can help identify what business they want to start.
What To Expect
The business startup program will educate the youth on:
- Creating a name and logo
- Developing a mission and vision statement
- Short-term vs. long-term business
- Business costs
- Business structure
- Developing policies
- Bookkeeping
- Writing a business plan
- Benefits of a franchise
- Digital business vs. physical location
- and more....
Applied Knowledge is Key
Our youth have the opportunity to apply their knowledge by getting assistance with starting a T-shirt business, Microgreens Farming business, or a Handyman Business.
The STARTING POINT for all students will be to enroll in the Business Startup Program
They will choose their business path below after enrollment.
T-shirt Business ($100)
The T-Shirt program will :
- Provide Heat Press Machine
- Give access to a 3D Printer
- Provide direction on developing shirt designs
Microgreens Farming ($100)
The Microgreens Farming program will :
- Teach the business of microgreens farming
- Provide materials to begin the farming process
- Share the health benefits of micro greens
Handyman Business ($250)
The Handyman program will :
- Provide the Ryobi Kit
- Teach Handyman safety precautions
- Develop their handyman skills
- Give the youth experience in using tools properly
